Thanh Hung Group officially put the modified starch processing factory in Nam Cam Industrial Park into operation, marking an important turning point in the strategy of investing in deep processing, providing high quality products.
On the morning of October 22, 2024, a new chapter in the development journey of Thanh Hung Group was opened with the official putting into production of the modified starch processing factory in Nam Cam Industrial Park. Built on an area of nearly 3 hectares and converted from the group’s warehouse, this factory will produce starch with a capacity of 50 tons/day, promising to bring high-quality products to the domestic and international markets.
Back in March 2024, when the decision to approve the adjustment of the Office and Warehouse project to “Starch-based food ingredient processing factory” was received, construction activities started. Drills and machinery have begun to hum, marking the start of a promising project.
With a total investment of hundreds of billions of VND, the factory is divided into two phases. The first phase has a capacity of 20,000 tons of modified starch/year, and when the second phase is completed, the total capacity will be increased to 40,000 tons/year.

During more than 7 months of construction, difficulties kept coming, from the construction stage where the foundation structure had to be adjusted for efficiency to the stage of transporting machinery from abroad to Viet Nam which was not as smooth as expected, and the harsh weather in the Central region with continuous rain and storms, etc. as if challenging the determination of the leaders and employees of Thanh Hung Group. But with the spirit of “overcoming hardships and difficulties”, all employees and foreign experts have worked tirelessly “together overcoming all limits” to realize this dream.
This morning, the first bags of modified starch were shipped, marking a major turning point in the group’s production and business activities. The factory is not only equipped with the most modern machinery in Asia but also has a strict quality control process, ensuring that every product meets the highest standards.

With a team of 71 highly trained staff, “The Nam Cam ship is ready to reach out to the ocean” and become a model for a system of deep-processing cassava starch factories in the near future, not only in Viet Nam but also in Laos. This factory will contribute significantly to the sustainable development strategy and affirm Thanh Hung Group’s leading position in the food processing industry, expanding its influence in both domestic and international markets.
