Inauguration of Lan Xang factory in the Land of a Million Elephants

On the morning of November 21, 2024, Thanh Hung Group officially inaugurated the Lan Xang cassava starch processing factory in Thatthom district, marking the beginning of sustainable development in the poor province of Xaysomboun, promising a bright future for cassava growers in North Central Laos.

Granted an investment license by the Xaysomboun provincial government in February 2024 on an area of ​​26 hectares in Thit-nun village, Thatthom district, the Group has focused its financial and human resources to start construction on March 2, 2024 with an expected capacity of 70,000 tons of starch/year and 11,000 tons of pulp/year.

After more than 8 months of construction and installation, with many difficulties from lack of engineers and construction workers; lack of construction machinery, construction materials had to be transported from far away; in addition, unfavorable weather due to the prolonged El Nina phenomenon as well as local customs and practices did not allow work to be carried out during the Van-xin holidays, etc. However, under the strong direction of the Group’s leadership, the high determination of the construction site management board and the workers in the spirit of “Day work is not enough, take advantage of night work” to race against time; on November 21, 2024, Lan-Xang cassava starch processing factory was officially inaugurated to promptly start production and business in time for the 2024-2025 season.

With modern machinery and equipment, advanced production technology; improved production lines inheriting optimal techniques from two factories Laos/Viet Nam and Cassava Dragon; with a team of experienced workers and abundant raw materials and good quality cassava from the two provinces of Xaysomboun and Xiengkhoang, Lan-Xang factory provides domestic and international markets with products of international quality, contributing significantly to bringing Thanh Hung Group’s brand to a new height in particular and the socio-economic development of Xaysomboun province in general, building the brotherhood between the two peoples of Viet Nam and Laos increasingly stronger.
