However, the demand for cassava chips from China is expected to decrease due to substitution with other raw materials, putting pressure on domestic raw material prices.\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-about-cassava-starch\">About cassava starch.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Thai Tapioca Starch Association announced that the selling price of tapioca starch remained unchanged compared to the previous week, at 525 USD per ton FOB Bangkok (announcement on July 23, 2024). Note: The export price published on Thailand&#8217;s website is based on the previous week&#8217;s transaction price. Typically, Thailand\u2019s published price is higher than the actual price by 30 &#8211; 50 USD per ton. The reason is attributed to low corn prices, with some ethanol plants in China using corn or other alternative raw materials as substitutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reports from cassava processing plants indicate that demand for orders from China remains sluggish.<br>The purchasing price of raw materials in the Tay Ninh area has decreased, leading to a drop in the production cost of tapioca starch at Tay Ninh factories.
